How Committed are We to our Faith?

One of the most effective way of showing people around you that you're a disciple of Christ is by showing what He has been preaching during His time, following the principles of Christ and living a  Christlike life. When I was ask to speak at our church I found a wonderful message on the internet, YES, I get most of my sermons on the Internet as this is one of the most reliable and bountiful source of wonderful Messages that a preacher can share to fellow believers. the Sermon is entitled "Repairing Broken Altar " by Jeryl Bennett of Bible Baptist Church De Quincy, Louisiana.
On his conclusion portion he enclosed what he refers to as a hard core commitment which was taken from a declaration of an African martyr who may have been threatened, or may have been made to denounce his faith for Christ but didn't waiver or falter but instead declare his faithfulness to Christ.
I would like to share it to you as well and I hope we do have the same boldness and courage to stand our faith not just when we are threatened but anytime that it will be required.
Once again I do not claim that this is mine but I just want to share it to you that you may will be blessed and be inspired by the boldness of this African martyr is is also a follower and a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"HARD CORE COMMITMENT"

It was taken from a note found on the desk of an African Martyr.
"I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made - I'm a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops,  recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, am uplifted by prayer and I labor with power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy, pander at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work until He stops me. And, when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me...my banner will be clear.
